Joshua Bauer from the Diocese of Lansing presents the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu. This Church was built on top of what is believed to be the High Priest Caiphas’ house. This is also where it is believed Jesus was jailed the night He was arrested along with where St. Peter denied our Lord three times. The seminarians were able to have Mass inside the lower church.
Later in the afternoon the seminarians toured the ancient City of David excavations. They also got a chance to walk through Hezekiah’s water tunnels and see the pool of Siloam, where Jesus healed the blind man in the Gospel of John chapter 9.
