MAPS Students Come Together for Retreat

Annual Day of Reflection

by MOSAIC Editorial Team

The annual Day of Reflection for Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies (MAPS) students and MAPS graduates took place at Sacred Heart Major Seminary on Friday, May 17. The Institute for Lay Ministry offers the yearly day to bring together students and alumni for prayer, talks, lunch, fellowship, and the celebration of the Mass.

Current MAPS students are required to attend at least one Day of Reflection during their time in the program. The day also gives alumni an opportunity to come back and visit the SHMS community.

Father Patrick Gonyeau, an alumni of SHMS and a priest for the Archdiocese of Detroit, led the time of reflection. Father Gonyeau is associate pastor of Corpus Christi Parish in Detroit.
