Meet Deacon Kevin Wojciechowski

Get to know Deacon Kevin Wojciechowski, Diocese of Saginaw, ahead of his ordination to the presbyterate on May 14th

by Editorial Team

As Deacon Kevin Wojciechowski’s presbyteral ordination approaches, the reality of his vocation has begun to set in.

“In these days leading up to ordination,” Dcn. Kevin says, “I regularly have dreams of praying the Mass. I look forward to the way Jesus will configure my heart to be more like his as I celebrate the sacraments, particularly the Eucharist.”

Born and raised in Davison, Michigan, Dcn. Kevin felt the first tug toward the priesthood in high school, but it was during his time at Saginaw Valley State University — as he studied psychology, grew in his faith, and met other priests on campus — that he really answered the call to the seminary.

Throughout his time at Sacred Heart, Dcn. Kevin’s experiences in his pastoral internship after Theology I, his 30-day silent retreat, and the friendship and brotherhood he’s shared with fellow seminarians have equipped and edified his faith to propel him to the next step of his vocation, and helped him discern the kind of priest he desires to be.

Dcn. Kevin will be ordained on May 14th at 2:30 at Holy Spirit Church in Saginaw, MI. Please join us in praying for him as he prepares for the Sacrament of Holy Orders.
