In this season following Pentecost, we are reminded of Christ’s unwavering presence as our Good Shepherd, ever guiding and guarding His flock. May the peace of God and His boundless love fill your heart each and every day
The recent installation of Archbishop Edward J. Weisenburger and election of Pope Leo XIV are powerful demonstrations of God’s desire to shepherd His flock. God’s desire to care for his people is easy to see in the seminarians, diaconate candidates, and lay students of Sacred Heart Major Seminary. This year’s enthusiastic group of graduates and future ministers are eager to serve the Lord and His Church. Having answered God’s call, they go forth from Sacred Heart longing to bring Jesus Christ to you and to all of God’s people.
The eighty-four members of Sacred Heart’s Class of 2025 have deepened their relationship with Jesus Christ by offering their lives in study, prayer, and in their formation for ministry. Out of these graduates, eighteen seminarians will be ordained priests for six different deceased and one religious order.
These new priests are eager to live a life of preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and shepherding His people. Another notable group in the graduating class are the 26 individuals who received the Certificate in Catholic Theology. This group boldly decided to enrich their faith life by engaging in a deeper study of God’s Word and the Tradition of the Catholic Church. I thank God for all our graduates who made a sacrifice of themselves so they might be well prepared to share the joy of salvation with the flock they are called to honor.
Sacred Heart Major Seminary is the ministerial training ground for priests, deacons, and lay ministers who will sacrifice to shepherd you and future generations.
