Each school year, the Institute for Lay Ministry (ILM) offers an opportunity for undergraduate lay ministry students to attend spiritual formation sessions.
On October 15, students participated in the Discernment module. Sr. Mary Finn, HVM, assistant professor of theology, gave a presentation on becoming more attuned to the many ways that God speaks to the human heart. The ILM formation sessions are required for students studying for an Associate of Arts in Ministry, Basic Diploma in Catholic Theology, Basic Diploma Music Ministry, and Bachelor of Arts in Theology. However, anyone interested in cultivating a deeper spiritual life can take these sessions. The sessions help to nurture spiritual growth as well as provide a better understanding of the Church's spiritual traditions.
Would you like to attend the remaining two sessions (January 21 and March 25, 2017) or have any questions? Please contact the Institute for Lay Ministry at 313-883-8541 or register online here.
The cost is $5.00 per session. The morning begins with a continental breakfast at 8:30 AM, with the session beginning promptly at 9:00 AM and ending at 12:00 PM.
