Today was another blessed day. I can't believe that it is already day 18 of our pilgrimage; time goes by so fast! We got up and had a nice breakfast provided by our very kind and gracious hosts, the Brigittine sisters. All of us have really enjoyed being around the sisters. They are warm and friendly, very prayerful, and also very funny. They are not afraid to poke some fun at us seminarians, and we appreciate that.

I want to focus my little reflection today on our visit to the upper room, where things of great importance to our faith happened: The last supper, the foot-washing, the institution of the Eucharist, the post-resurrection appearances of Jesus to the apostles, and Pentecost.

As we prayed in the upper room my focus was on Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and the beginning of the Church. We need this outpouring of the Holy Spirit today! Each one of us needs to be continually filled with the Holy Spirit. We need to be recharged by God's love daily. We need to be open to let God work in our lives and avoid setting limits on the way we think He should work. I pray that each of us may be docile to the Holy Spirit just like Mary was. Let's ask for Mary's help today, and say to the Holy Spirit, "Let it be done to me according to thy word." Come Holy Spirit, renew in us the fire of your love today and help us be witnesses to Jesus Christ in everything we do.

God bless you all, you are in our prayers

Philip
