Desert Formation Experience Blog is now live

Greetings family, friends, faculty, and benefactors,

Welcome to the blog for the 2015 Desert Formation Experience at Sacred Heart Major Seminary! In this blog, we plan to chronicle the experiences of the Theology I class as we travel through the Holy Land and Rome this coming summer.

The first step of this whole process was meeting with the Formation team to see the basic outline of the trip and how to prepare for it. The next step was to send out letters to friends and benefactors asking for support.

That's what we're doing in the picture at the top of this post; don't we look so seriously busy?

Now we are going out to all the meals that all of you have set up to present what this trip is about in person. After all, an in-person event is so much more interesting than seeing pictures or reading a book or blog_. Wait a minute!

We leave for the experience on April 29^th, so shortly after that date will be when we will start posting with some frequency. Until then, check back to see what we're up to while we prepare to head out! We'll say a few things about what we're looking forward to and maybe share a few anecdotes about what's happening with our classes. Who knows?

Each of the twelve seminarians will be posting here over the course of the trip, so you can look forward to the thoughts and experiences of many men, not just the thoughts of your humble blog moderator. Eventually, there will be a picture with all of us up here so you can see all the guys whom you are supporting.

Please keep us in prayer as we prepare for this tremendous experience! We will keep you in prayer as we travel throughout the Holy Land.
