Memories from days at SHMS : 4:30

Pete recalls his favorite class from his days at the seminary was Latin 101, a class he shared with Fr. Stephen Pullis and his sister. Class breaks were a highlight as professors and students gathered in the cafeteria and shared life, developed relationships, and talked about their classwork over a cup of coffee.

What’s your mission? : 9:55

Pete shares about his walk as a disciple and how his upbringing and family played a major role in his walk with the Lord. After college he came to the realization that helping people meet Jesus Christ was the work that would get him out of bed every morning, so he pursued full time ministry. Pete emphasizes the importance of communal discipleship; “everybody has a role to play in the discipleship of everyone.”

Ministry Work : 18:03

Pete is the director of id (Intentional Disciples), a young adult ministry that helps young people meet Jesus, fall in love with Jesus, and share Jesus with others. The ministry partners with parishes across the United States and Canada to meet young people and encourage them to model their lives after Christ. Pete shares how id is working hard to support young adults in living balanced lives of prayer, communion, and mission amid the pandemic. National Theology on Taps, community Zoom calls, and an online leadership course are a few of the efforts id has initiated during the pandemic.
