Sacred Heart Major Seminary is profoundly grateful to those who participated in this year’s Giving Heart Day, an annual opportunity to support the seminary’s mission of forming priests and lay leaders to be heralds of Christ’s message of salvation.
Because of your generous support and prayers, the seminary is able to carry out its work faithfully and steadfastly to meet the great evangelization needs of our time.
Each gift, given in love, helps to support the formation and education of the next generation of priests, deacons and lay leaders, who in turn will use their gifts to share Jesus through Catholic parishes, schools and apostolates across southeast Michigan and beyond. This is needed today more than ever.
Sacred Heart’s mission would not be possible without your prayers and contributions, which play a critical role in helping spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who need it most.
As of December 17th, donors have given a total of $23,000. In addition, our friends at Christian Financial Credit Union very graciously offered to match all gifts, up to a total of $7,500. We are grateful for the generosity of all who gave in support of our mission.
"It is due to the generosity of the seminary's benefactors that we are able to form the priests, deacons, and leaders of the faith in the Detroit area and beyond,” said Fr. Stephen Burr, rector of Sacred Heart Major Seminary. “A gift to Giving Heart Day provides funding that benefits the formation and education programs at the seminary to train ministers to preach the Truth of Jesus Christ."
If you have not yet participated in Giving Heart Day this year, you can join, through the end of December by making a gift to support the work and mission of the seminary.
On behalf of Sacred Heart Major Seminary, thank you for your prayerful generosity, which illuminates Christ’s mission in our communities! We thank God for you. Please keep our students and seminarians in your prayers this Christmas and throughout the year — as you will be in ours.
