Today we made a trip over to St. John of the Desert, the place where John the Baptist was said to have stayed. We arrived there by hiking about an hour in the wilderness; while there we celebrated Mass above the cave in a chapel.
The cave is said to be where John stayed. It was a short but memorable trip, after which we had the long hike back for lunch. . . . Our hiking this day was not over. We then made an enjoyable uphill (one hour) hike to the Holocaust Museum. It was a very moving experience. Throughout the day we took time to pray for you all. Keep us in your prayers as well. God bless.
